Could you be the full-time Hardware Developer and Industrial Engineer in Madrid we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your HW development expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.

You'll perform the activities assigned by the department leader, in accordance with the engineering process for the design, from system requirements to system implementation and validation, for hardware projects taking into account the “standard platform” approach being rolled out by ALSTOM for hardware development projects in Spain. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, industrialization), understand system requirements and carry out gap analysis with ALSTOM standard platform and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of executing hardware development activities required for system/subsystems, to match system requirements, taking into account Quality/Cost/Delivery (QCD) objectives of the project, but also  colaborating with the industrialization team, ensure that the product manufactured complies with the specifications, quality and cost defined.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Design, Develop, Validate and Test hardware modules in the field of railway signalling. Participating in signalling projects, developing new modules or adapting existing ones to fulfil the project requirements (mainly in the interlocking area) and V&V them, with adequate quality, schedule and right cost.
  • It will include not only the generation of documentation, but also the test on-site.
  • Make tracking of manufacturing and associated costs
  • Manage in collaboration with Supply Chain the collection of materials for manufacturing
  • Manage /  follow the achievement of the prototypes in the respect of the industrial rules, and QCD requirements
  • Guarantee the aplication of the Manufacturing (DFM) and Test Rules (DFT) and repair requirement during the product development in order to optimize the productivity and the test coverage. Participate to technical design review
  • Define and commit on the schedule and the industrialization cost target
  • Manage industrial risk through process FMEA and associated improvemnent action plan
  • Manage industrial files issued to subcontractor
  • Deploy Industrial tools to subcontractor as per difened by transfer plan
  • Manage Alstom assets lent to subcontractor
  • Guarantees internal control and good application of process rulesin line with customers' requirements

 

All about you

  • University degree (medium level as minimum) in hardware engineering or 5 year experience in similar work.
  • A minimum of 5 year experience in the area of hardware development for supervisory or control systems and hardware system integration.
  • Good Knowledge about Industrialization process
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits.
  • Knowledge about electronic safety related circuits (specially safety relays)
  • Desirable knowledge about Safety, RAM and EMC.
  • Desirable knowledge about verification and validation.
  • Good Knowledge of industrial communication standards and system integration procedures for supervisory systems.
  • Knowledge of the common applications based on Windows (MS-Office, Lotus Notes, etc).
  • Some times travel will be required, specially during the starting phase of the projects and in the commissioning phase.
