We are looking for a Commodity Leader for the Trackside Security System & AVLS.

You will be in charge of sourcing strategy definition and implementation and tenders/projects execution for Alstom’s key strategic commodities.

 

The main responsabilities of the Commodity Leader will be:

  • Strong involvement and implementation of commodities strategy
  • Manage some global supplier panel relationship (QBR, contractual negotiation leader, Partnership,..)
  • Supplier performance management and follow up (QBR, monthly)
  • Responsible for commodity QCDT for projects AND Tenders
  • Operational sourcing responsability on negotiation, cross sites/businesses bundling
  • Animate Saving Plan by leveraging MoB, Desing to Cost, LCC, Volumes...
  • Important ability to understand, challenge, handle different technical solutions to maximize performance at Tender stage

 

Our new team member  will conduct these missions:

  • Supplier relationship:
    • Manage some global supplier relationship (FA, Partnership program, ...)
    • Ensure global QCDT targets achievement, CONQ** & claims management for the global suppliers in charge
    • Lead supplier QCDT performance reviews
    • Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines.

 

  • Commodity support:
    • Commodity representative
    • Build Sourcing Tender commitment (inc. proactive mindset for systematic RAMP & SAMP),
    • Consolidation of commodity needs, inputs: build and animate Forecast Tool / Tactical Plan Routine
    • Active into transverse activities MoB, RdTC, Simplification of processes, Standardization,
    • Strong input to build differenciation for AT through supplier innovation,
    • Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration,
    • According to delegation, define a strategy for specific platform,
    • In charge of Buyer activity on specific segment,
    • Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving, 
    • Apply the Alstom Transport Procurement process, and provide return on experience
    • Coordinate project with all Metiers,
    • Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool,
    • Lead project negociation for the commodity,
    • Lead and drive foreign sourcing organization activities in some specific cases, coordinate sourcing network
    • Monitor sourcing project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development),
    • Prepare Business Award,
    • Lead from tender stage through Business award, project development and Purchase order creation until First Article Inspection (milestone of the transer to local organisation)
    • Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving

 

Profile

  • Educational requirements : Business school or Engineering degree with MASTER in purchasing
  • Technical Knowledge / Experience
    • Experience between 3 to 6 years in Industry
    • Fluent english & International background
  • Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince)
  • Mobility: High travel frequency
