Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your sourcing and supplier management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and solution-driven team of professionals.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of sourcing strategies and project objectives, contributing to the success of Alstom’s sustainable transportation solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Sourcing Managers, Commodity Managers, and Engineering teams), negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost optimization initiatives, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of supplier relationships and commodity strategies, but also manage design changes and ensure compliance with Alstom’s quality and ethical standards.
We’ll look to you for:

Deploying commodity strategies to meet project and business needs

Ensuring project execution aligns with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) objectives

Managing local contractual relationships with suppliers

Driving cost reduction initiatives and VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) activities

Developing new vendors and managing supplier bases for railway and metro projects

Handling claims, change management, and design modifications
-
Leading supplier QCD performance reviews and ensuring compliance with Alstom’s standards

Engineering degree

Experience or understanding of sourcing and procurement, particularly for casting, forging, and machined parts

Knowledge of supplier base management for railway and metro projects

Familiarity with ZBC (Zero Base Costing) for casting, forging, and machined parts

A strong understanding of purchase strategies and vendor development
-
Proficiency in claim management and design change processes

Fluency in English and experience in an international environment

Strong interpersonal skills, including leadership and communication abilities
