JOB DUTIES:

Wash rail equipment and other parts of the train including but not limited to all passenger cars. Fuel & Sanding on a need basis. Clean & service cabs/engine rooms. Clean-up work area and disposal of trash throughout the day. General housekeeping of all rail equipment. Operate a Forklift. Duties as assigned by supervisors and managers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or warehouse work is a plus but not required.
 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read and understand safety instructions, manuals, and directives.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
 

REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks accurately.
• Ability to solve basic problems and escalate issues to supervisors as necessary.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, sometimes up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• The job may involve working in various environments such as construction sites, warehouses, or outdoor locations.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Situational and environmental awareness is required to ensure the safety of the employee and others.

Salary Rate:

$24.36/hour
