The T&C Leader is responsible for the management and successful completion of the T&C activities related to a railway signaling subsystem (e.g., IXL, ATC, DCS, ...). This must be achieved following project strategy, company policies (including EHS, railway safety, local regulation, and professional standard) and project QCD targets.

  

Key Accountabilities

  • The T&C leader is responsible, by delegation of the PrCOM, of the test, verification, and delivery of a signaling subsystem. 
  • Organize T&C activities (Planning, Access, Resources allocation, documentation).
  • Check compliance of Signaling systems in relation to system specification documents and contractual requirements.
  • Independently, apply extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist to meet company standards and customer requirements for the related sub-system
  • Develop T&C procedures for his sub-system based on defined specifications for subsystems in area of specialization to meet contractual requirements. 
  • Interface with Engineering and V&V subsystem leaders for optimizing site tests and sharing competent resources between platform and site test
  • Could participate to V&V test in lab, as per request, under the responsibility of the V&V Manager
  • Provide technical leadership to individuals or teams for tools, procedure and in resolving problems
  • Lead or participate in technical discussions for his subsystem directly with customer and represents / protects the company’s interest
  • Report on a regular basis to the Project T&C Manager on progress and issues
  • Report on the anomalies arising during site testing and interfaces with engineering team towards to close the anomaly
  • Ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
  • Proactive towards development of resources competency to other T&C team members
  • Guarantee that all tests are made in full safety.

 

Specifically, for LAX project:

  • This ITC Test Lead will work leading the non-signaling tests (SCADA, AVIS, access control, Comms). ITC Test Lead will work as the liaison between the field teams in different shifts (night/day) and the Engineering Development Team.
  • Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:
  • To follow the Software Release Plan matching each software sprint with the field needs in regards to schedule.
  • Log NCR and track those NCR alongside the project lifecycle. Attend the CCR and share with other stakeholders all the field findings.
  • Keep a close relationship with the Field Test Lead to define the better test strategy based on the current released baseline.
  • Work on-site as a test lead. Leading his employees by example, training the newcomers in the project system and requirements.
  • Analyze Test Logs performing the first level of site troubleshooting before escalating the failures/NCR to the Developers.
  • Support the PrCOM drafting and reviewing project schedules and test 3-weeks lookahead.

 

Performance Measurement

  • Collaboration with V&V team and ratio between lab and T&C tests
  • Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
  • Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting 
  • Savings through risks anticipation and mitigation
  • Team Management
  • Providing Test Reports and NCR field validation in accordance with the schedule agreed with PrCOM and PM.
  • Keep the project Test Cases KPI updated complementing the information the Field test lead logged in.

 

 

Minimum Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred, but not required. 
  • 4-6 years of experience in testing of signaling systems (preferably CBTC - Communication Based Train Control). 
  • Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)  
  • Project management knowledge is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Salary Range:

$77,250 - $113,300.
