Wayside Design Engineer

(Porto or Lisbon, Portugal)


Your mission?


In collaboration with PreM (Project Engineering Manager) and design teams, you will support engineering activities for wayside signaling systems in Portugal.


More specifically you will be responsible of:

  • Capturing and analyzing customer requirements related to wayside systems
  • Supporting system engineering team with the clarification of customer requirements
  • Supporting PrEM in technical meetings/discussions with the customer
  • Supporting generic application design team with required inputs and clarifications
  • Supporting specific application for wayside signaling systems: interlocking, ATP and control centers; eventually perform specific application activities for wayside signaling subsystems
  • Supporting system integration onsite.



Your profile?


You have good communication skills, you like working in a team and you like flexibility.

You also have:

  • Engineer Degree (electromechanics, electronics or computer engineer); desired Master’s Degree
  • Experience in signaling and good knowledge of signaling systems
  • AutoCAD knowledge
  • Portuguese language (native or proficiency)
  • Spanish and English language (good level)
  • Experience in HW design for signaling systems (desirable)
  • Experience in Automatic Train Protection systems; ERTMS systems
  • Good knowledge in Automatic Train Protection systemsERTMS knowledge.
