Project Installation Manager

Your mission?


You will be in charge of coordinating and planning the site activities and will be giving support to supervise, install, test and commission the signaling system for the on-board and wayside activities. 


Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning and providing progress update site ITC activities in accordance to the rolling programme and actual site progress
  • Liaising with customer and other contractors on possession management
  • Liaising with procurement and logistics on material deliveries based on the site activities forecasted
  • Management and administration of site office
  • Preparing installation procedures, method statements and following up with submissions and clients comments
  • Coordinating with partner and sub-contractor(s) undertaking the installation activities
  • Assuring sites are properly stocked with installation and test tools while test tools are periodically calibrated per Alstom standards
  • Meeting with customers and support Project Director with customer meetings
  • Being able to liaise with other contractor on various interface issues related to the installation works
  • Monitoring the site installation activities and supervision of sub-contractors/ partner undertaking installation of signalling equipment
  • Assuring quality inspections are performed on material and assemblies and that equipment is properly stored prior installation
  • Ensuring sub-contractor’s quality of work achieves the desirable quality and workmanship level, with proper inspections and audits regularly
  • Providing NCR and action plan to rectify any anomalies found at site
  • Recording and registering installation test records
  • Working with design team for the evolution of drawings (i.e. mark-up, modification sheets, transmittals, as-build drawings) until the completion of installation stage
  • Strictly following the safety rules, regulations and procedures as stated in the safety plan for internal staff and subcontractor(s) working at site; ensuring all activities comply with Company OH&S policies and procedures
  • Working in a safe manner and notifying management of any areas which safety can be improved
  • Promoting and enforcing safety awareness to the team and sub-contractors, by regular safety briefing sessions and also performing periodic site HSE audits.



Your profile?


You are driven by results and have great problem-solving skills. You like working in a team and you look for continuous improvement. Not to mention that you have good communication skills.


You also have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical or related fields
  • 5 -10 years relevant experience
  • Fluent English level (Portuguese mandatory), Spanish desirable
  • Installation, test and commissioning experience in railway signalling
  • Trouble shooting and log analysis experience
  • Metro with CBTC experience – preferred
  • Capability to make decisions at site
  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera PM knowledge
  • Planning and People Management experience – nice to have
