Your future role
An opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team responsible for the maintenance of the Sydney Light Rail fleet. You will be based at Lilyfield primarily but may also be required to travel to our depot in Randwick, as required. Joining a small close-knit team, you will be responsible for providing Engineering support to the operation to ensure the safety, reliability and availability of the light rail vehicles.
We’ll look to you for:
- Monitoring and reporting on fleet performance and ensuring performance targets and objectives are met for the Sydney Light Rail fleet.
- Optimising fleet systems, including reviewing of the technical maintenance plans, inventory and spare parts level and configuration change.
- Leading regular project evaluations with customers and internal colleagues, including penalty attribution.
- Ensuring the asset information system is configured to a sufficient level to support maintenance, RAMS and configuration management activities.
- Investigating reliability issues and defects and propose solutions in line with Alstom objectives.
- Contributing to fleet reliability growth through data analysis and proposal of solutions.
- Mentoring junior engineers to assist in their growth and development.

- Maintenance Engineering experience in Rail or similar heavy industry (Highly desirable).
- Tertiary qualifications (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or similar).
