Alstom has openings for its Engineering Leadership Excellence andDevelopment (LEAD) program in our Rochester, NY location.
Overview:
The Engineering Leadership Excellence and Development Program provides an opportunity for entry level engineering students to experience and explore a well-rounded and diverse set of experiences and opportunities. The program will expand on an individual’s knowledge and strengths in their collective area of engineering education and focuses on introducing practical systems and project based principles, while providing rich experiences across the business. The individual will graduate from the program as a technically astute, well-rounded individual, with a spectrum of knowledge and experiences in practical engineering initiatives and principles , development process improvement initiatives, product development and commercialization, and a strong sense of system engineering .
Members will experience four, six-month rotations throughout a two-year period.
Logistics:
This individual will learn state of-the-art methods of engineering and business aspects through structured project work and practical application. Rotations could include: Project & System Engineering, Software Development, Verification and Validation Engineering, and Application Engineering. The program will focus on process integration to application engineering to learn how to ensure safe and quality products and meet our customers' expectations. This program is designed and intended to successfully integrate all engineering components within Alstom along with other key business functions. The experience gained during the rotational assignment positions the successful Leadership Program participant for accelerated career growth.
Qualifications/Requirements :
- 4 year Engineering Degree, Industrialization and/or Quality degree
- GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational and configuration management skills
- Ability to lead teams
- Team player with examples and experiences
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior intern or research experience in engineering
- Examples of leadership on college activities and course projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
