1. Purpose of the job:

• Define the variability of the Product
• Ensure the proper propagation of the different Product baselines to the Design teams, other stakeholders & monitor the implementation progress
• Master the quality of deliverables by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability of the delivered Product assets through the application of CCM Process
• Accountable for the Product CCM process application by all stakeholders.
• Keep the Product configuration under control and manage changes during the whole lifecycle of the Product.

2. Main responsabilities: 

Variability Management

• Is leading the Variability Management activities of the Product:
  • Writes & is accountable of the Product Variability Catalogue
  • Defines the consistency between Variability & Configurations
  • Defines for each variability point the depth of the design then the associated deliverables
  • Monitors the completeness & the progress thanks to adequate KPI
• Participates to the Variability Modeling activities led by each Métier:
  • Controls the consistency of the technical solutions versus the catalogue
  • Controls the completeness of the technical solutions versus the catalogue
  • Ensures that Design to Variability rules are fulfilled
• Participates to the definition of the Product roadmap
• Participates to the tender answer strategy:
  • Defines with the BTM the choices in the available catalogue
  • Controls the gaps list and the associated strategy
  • Monitors the adhesion to the standard product

Configuration Management

• Is leading the CCM activities of the Product:
  • Writes & is accountable of the Product configuration management plan
  • Leads the Product CCB
• Defines the Baseline of the Product according to the Company standard process:
  • Writes the Baseline document & Ensures the propagation to all the stakeholders

• Makes the link with the requested Baselining across the company (DEV-FRM-001)

• Is accountable of the As-Req & As-Spec configurations

• Participates to the Programs (Multi-Projects) CCB to ensure good articulation between Product and applicative projects and enable high level of adherence to standard Product.

Competencies & Skills

• Mandatory knowledge of railway products, railway solutions (signalling, telecom etc.), systems and components
• Knowledge of CCM tools
• Knowledge of Variability tools (PLEIADE)
• Ability to communicate with all involved product stakeholders
• Fluent English language skills
• Systematic, rigorous, proactive and organized with good attention to details
• Is a team contributor and sets a good environment for team colleagues
• Driven for results with strong multi-tasking and influencing skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Leadership skills
• Demonstrates comprehensive communication and negotiation skills and the ability to guide, influence and convince others even without formal leadership
• Coordinates a team of professionals, team leads and/or supervisors engaged in specific tasks related to CCM.
