Your Future Role
Take on a new challenge and bring your experience and expertise in systems engineering to a cutting-edge field. You’ll work within collaborative, dynamic and multidisciplinary teams, playing a key role in the design and development of one or more major tramway systems. You’ll be directly contributing to sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll work closely with internal teams (engineering, certification, validation, suppliers, production units), define system architectures and coordinate interfaces between various subsystems. You’ll also be involved in verification and validation activities to ensure systems meet defined requirements, as well as resolving technical issues during both the design phase and commercial rollout — and much more.
We’ll rely on you to:
- Develop technical requirements based on reference documents (business, standards, certification, safety, platform and customer) and allocate them to subsystems.
- Define the system architecture of the trains, their operational capabilities and performance.
- Coordinate subsystems, suppliers and disciplines to ensure interface and performance consistency.
- Draft specifications for subsystems or components, and where needed, subsystem architecture descriptions.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable technical references and configurations.
- Manage technical relationships with suppliers, closely monitoring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments and risks.
- Contribute to the train verification strategy in collaboration with engineering, certification and validation teams.
- Define and carry out train validation tests, including lab and on-site testing.
- Support the resolution of open technical issues during the commercial service phase.
- Provide accurate reporting at both project and discipline level, while contributing to continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.
Your Profile
We value passion and mindset over experience. So we don’t expect you to tick every box. Instead, here’s a list of qualities and skills we believe will help you thrive in this role:
- Engineering degree, ideally with expertise in design, sizing, validation and automation.
- Experience or understanding of the rail sector (2+ years) or a similar industry (5+ years).
- Experience or understanding of complex system design, verification and validation processes.
- Familiarity with secure software development, networks and system integration (a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to work within a team on complex projects with tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and monitor QCD commitments.
- Solution-oriented mindset and ability to tackle complex technical problems, with strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- English proficiency sufficient for autonomous communication.
What You’ll Enjoy
Join us for a new life experience—rail is a future-focused industry, offering opportunities to grow and gain new skills throughout your career. You’ll also benefit from:
- Stability, challenges and a long-term career without daily routine.
- Working with multicultural teams and renowned experts in their field.
- Collaborating across disciplines with skilled colleagues.
- Contributing to innovative projects that redefine sustainable mobility.
- A flexible, people-centred working environment.
- Career development opportunities across functions and countries.
- Our investment in your growth through award-winning learning programmes.
- Progression into technical leadership or project management roles.
- A fair and dynamic reward system that recognises performance and potential, along with comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life insurance, health insurance, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
