Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your safety and environmental expertise in a dynamic and impactful field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors, while minimizing environmental impacts and protecting Alstom’s assets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (such as project managers, contractors, and site staff), support the Site EHS Manager in risk assessments, and implement emergency plans to maintain compliance and safety standards.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and deploying local EHS procedures and tools in alignment with Alstom and international standards, but also provide guidance and training to foster an EHS culture at the site.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supporting the Site EHS Manager in achieving EHS objectives and performing risk assessments

  • Preparing, implementing, and maintaining emergency plans

  • Coordinating and controlling EHS activities involving contractors or operation areas

  • Providing advice to site personnel to prevent injuries, equipment damage, and environmental pollution

  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining local EHS procedures aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

  • Ensuring compliance with EHS plans, guidelines, and legal requirements

  • Training employees and conducting EHS inductions and toolbox meetings

  • Capturing, reporting, and analyzing incidents to implement corrective and preventive actions

  • Conducting inspections, audits, and legal compliance checks

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety from RLI/CLI/State Technical Board-approved college or ME/MTech in Industrial Safety

  • Experience or understanding of EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

  • Knowledge of local legal EHS requirements

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools

  • Coursework or experience in Environmental Engineering/Management (desirable)

  • Experience in the railway industry and EHS auditing (desirable)
