Your future role
As an Assembler, you must be experienced operator in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical setting. Industrial working environment experience
As this is an industrial/field work environment, physical demands are in consequence (work outside in all weather conditions, work at heights, etc…). Flexibility to work on different shifts will be needed to meet with operational requirements.
While interacting daily with co-workers, external suppliers/contractors and management, all activities will be performed in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as prescribed by legislation and the ALSTOM Health & Safety policies.
You’ll specifically take care of
- Must be capable and have extensive working knowledge of material properties, methods and basic set-up and verification, adjustment, and operation of the welding equipment and hand tools.
- Must be able to read blueprints or work instructions, set-up of jigs and fixtures, comprehend the associated welding symbols and welding sequence.
- Must have working knowledge and ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools
We’ll look to you for
- Perform production tasks as planned by the department including the assembly of train components onto the train car body (e.g. sidewall panel fastening and drilling)
- Installation of internal components (sub-assembled) onto the train car body
- Complies with EH&S rules and safe working procedure at all times
- Clean and maintain working areas and production equipment

- Set up production equipment: workstation, test benches, inspection tools, warehouse equipment
- Respect task time and quality level assigned by operating instructions, methods process and MRP routing
- Identify parts as required by the operating instructions prior to installations
- Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks
- Handle, store goods and raw materials in the factory or the warehouse

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is CAD 25$-28$/hour, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
