Could you be the full-time onsite Tooling Engineer - Designer in Katowice, PL we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical design expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll contribute significantly to the optimization of manufacturing processes and the evolution of our production efficiency. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Industrial, Quality, Production), design and refine tooling and fixtures for enhanced machine performance, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Propose, set up, and improve the manufacturing processes: workstations, tooling, industrialization rules, routings, and  instructions

  • Design and optimize the tools and fictures for machines as well as the improve existing documentation for tools 

  • Participate in the optimizing and improving of the tools design to increase production efficency.

  • Qualify industrial means related to manufacturing, repairs and rework

  • Develop and insure the follow-up of the performance indicators of production tools and set up the associated action plans (predictive, preventive or curative actions)

  • Complies with EHS Alstom and external standards

  • Issue relevant documents in the Quality System

  • Ensure schedules, inputs and QCD targets are achieved

  • Manage overhead budget, CAPEX and investments related to new manufacturing equipment

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field,

  • Experience or understanding of tooling design and manufacturing processes,

  • Knowledge of CAD software and design optimization (preferred Solid Edge),

  • Strong communication skills to effectively issue documents and collaborate with teams,

  • Skills in developing and following up on performance indicators for production tools,

  • Problem-solving skills for predictive, preventive, or curative actions
