Could you be the full-time Tender Installation Manager in Katowice we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

 

You'll play a key role in delivering the best strategy, quotation, and documentation for the Mainline and Urban (M&U) Signaling Installation package during the tender phase, contributing to the success of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as the Bid Team and Installation department), ensure compliance with EHS policies and local regulations, and much more.

 

You’ll specifically take care of ensuring compliance with EHS (Zero Deviation) and regulatory standards, while overseeing the preparation of the Installation package during the tender phase in coordination with the Bid Team and Installation department.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Preparing the overall Installation strategy, considering customer requirements, local constraints, Installation department business strategies (make or buy), planning, and execution targets

  • Preparing the quotation of the installation scope related to the Installation strategy

  • Coordinating the IE teams and providing necessary Installation Tender documentation

  • Analyzing Installation partner/subcontractor offers and participating in Installation partner/subcontractor negotiations

  • Assisting and obtaining validation of the Installation quotation (QCD) from the Regional Centre Installation Manager, tracking all assumptions and risks for project execution

  • Supporting Sourcing Quality during the assessment of partners/subcontractors if required

  • Ensuring compliance of Installation activities with D&IS Installation and FO processes

  • Degree in engineering.
  • Experience in railway or infrastructure site management, including cost estimation for construction, signalling, energy, or telecommunication projects.
  • Knowledge of EHS principles and railway signaling products (Urban, Mainline, F&M).
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to assess, challenge, and optimize pricing.
  • Ability to lead technical and commercial discussions/negotiations with subcontractors; confidence beyond Excel-based calculations.
  • Understanding of EPC and tendering processes, including installation cost‑building.
  • Ability to identify errors, risks, and cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, solution orientation, adaptability, and resilience.
  • Willingness for occasional local travel.
  • English at a communicative level (desirable).
