Could you be the full-time System Engineer in Katowice we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Paweł (Engineering Domain/Metier Group Manager based in Katowice), and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

 

You'll design our system architecture, positively impacting of development and maintenance of industrial real-time embedded computer systems for rail wayside and onboard with highest fail-safe requirements & reliability within a harsh operational environment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (particularly the engineering, development and project teams) to understand their requirements. You’ll design and model system structure (including internal and external interfaces), formulate requirements and much more.

 

You’ll specifically take care of system design and management.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • System Design and Change Management over product’s life cycle
  • Requirement Management
  • Product documentation maintenance 
  • Cooperate with external suppliers and technical provider
  • Troubleshooting issues with Linux operation system
  • Failure root causes analysis
  • Taking an active part in integration projects, working on hardware and operating systems compatibilities

  • Degree in or passion for computer science/electronics/automation/IT
  • Experience or understanding of networks, protocols, hardware, operation systems (Linux) including PC architecture, networking, cyber security, electronic
  • Administration of operating systems (Linux/Unix/ FreeBSD)
  • Clear technical skillset
  • Familiarity with Requirements Management and Design and Configuration Management
  • An analytical mindset and strong detail-oriented focus 
  • An interest in complex product connections
  • Respect for regulations and rules
  • Desire to lead, create impact and share technical expertise
  • An appreciation for and understanding of the importance of creating documentation
  • Communication skills – particularly with various teams and stakeholders
