We are looking for Lead System Architect to join our R&D team in Katowice, a part of Digital & Integrated Systems division of Alstom Group. You will be responsible for system design and development strategy for new generation of computing platform used for rail control solutions all over the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support System Engineering Manager for identification of technical risks and definition of the development strategy, workload estimations and system design deliverables
  • Ensures quality, consistency, and on time delivery of the design and specification according to the development strategy
  • Leads and participates to the system design and specifications by application of System Engineering techniques for system design, technical reviews and decisions, system specifications, requirements and configuration management
  • Manage technical discussions with Architects of target Applications, domain experts and end-users
  • Leads program documentation development

Required competences and experience:

  • Experience as a System Architect or System Engineer
  • Expertise in System Engineering
  • Knowledge on PC architecture, operating systems (Linux/Unix), computer networks, cyber security, cloud computing
  • Knowledge in requirements management
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, team work, flexibility
  • The ability to take a few foreign business trips (mainly Europe)


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge in embedded systems and electronics
  • Knowledge in product lifecycle management
  • Experience in IT for industrial
  • Would be great to see each other (our team works in hybrid model) also in Katowice office!
