Could you be the full-time Software Test Engineer (Test Automation - RBC) in Katowice we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your software engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Ariel (Engineering Domain/Metier Group Manager (V&V Metier) based in Katowice), and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

 

You'll positively impact of the team that works on international projects, co-creating advanced railway traffic control systems with a high level of safety. The team deals with the creation, development, and management of an automated test environment (both software and hardware) as well as carrying out tests - creating a test specification, and conducting automated tests. The main goal is to ensure the reliability of the system and demonstrate compliance with the requirements.

 

You’ll specifically offer support to your colleagues of designing and writing test case (based on the requirements specification) and Analysis of the requirements.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Configuration of the test environment – both hardware platform and virtual environment
  • Writing scripts (regarding the requirements) and tests exploratory for automated tests
  • Revisions of test scripts and cases
  • Verification and reporting test errors
  • Maintenance and analysis of continuous integration
  • Creating test documentation
  • Estimation of the work time, dividing tasks (Scrum).

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in IT, Electronics or Automation or equivalent
  • Understanding of C/C++ and scripting languages like Python/Bash
  • Experience in requirements-driven and agile software developments
  • Knowledge of version control tools (GIT, SVN, Synergy, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Linux environment, basic knowledge of network configuration, basic knowledge of computer hardware architecture and configuration
  • Being excited to explore new methods, technologies, and tools
  • Eagerness to shape our onboard software systems
  • Ambition and accountability
