Could you be the full-time Signalling Installation Engineering Manager?

 

 

Your future role

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business,  leading and executing Installation Engineering activities on project and tender level. You will ensure delivery and quality of the documentation in compliance with mainline strategy. 

You’ll develop and maintain Installation Engineering competence and performence in the Region and deliver Installation drawings in close cooperation with local resources and subcontractors.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Organize and lead the full Project Installation Engineering Team, analyze, develop and maintain IE competences (recruitment, training, cooperation with other Sites, subcontractors)

  • Define the scope and manage delivery of Installation Engineering documentation (method statements, drawings etc.)

  • Manage the validation cycle of the documentation (Internal and external: Customer, Subcontractor, …)

  • Report on the progress of the delivery of the document to be provided as per schedule

  • Support the Installation Manager activities, including Risk identification and mitigation proposal

  • Identifies and reports on issues on document and drawing delivered by internal teams and subcontractors (Continuous improvement),

  • Performs Site Surveys during preparation and execution phase (if necessary)

  • Propose update/improvement of the Installation Engineering way of working, process, tools and RefLib

  • Degree in engineering

  • Basic experience on railway site management

  • Strong knowledge of Railway products and services knowledge on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, Freight&Mining)

  • Production experience in design, drafting or engineering (Project and/or construction experience appreciated)

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfil the role of interface manager toward internal staff, team members and subcontractors

  • Analytical thinking, solution focus and resilience

  • Ability to adapt, influence and negotiate

  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability

  • Familiar with design-build complex projects, tendering, engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and quality processes.
