Your future role

 

As a Senior Project Planner, you will provide proper time management information to support decisions making process in order to reach expected on time delivery performance of the Medium/High criticality tender/project. The Senior Project Planner is in charge of the customer schedule that has to be coherent with the internal schedule (also for other PUs' contributions), so he/she has to interface with other Companies/PUs and with the Customer, to build scenarios and to rightly manage the communication strategy defined by BMs/PMs and Customer Director.

 

From an internal point of view he/she manages the schedule in the planning tool, with Resource Mgmt and related KPIs. Senior Project Planner is expected to interact and communicate effectively with all necessary tender/project core team members in order to manage all planning deliverables efficiently. Reporting to Site Global Planning Director, the Senior Project Planner will be expected to work autonomously and independently, setting high personal standards and delivering reports in a timely and accurate manner to the project team and client alike.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

In tender:

  • Analyze the schedule management requirements of the Customer (contractual tool, schedule structure, reporting constraints…),
  • Define tender preparation schedule and monitor until the submission of the tender,
  • Detail the tender schedule based on Reference Library templates, gap analysis, Métiers commitments, and PXO (Project Métiers organization such as PIO / Project Industrial Organization) tender strategy
  • Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule and propose the optimization & mitigation actions,
  • Contribute with the project schedule to the project strategy in compliance with the contractual requirements
  • Participate to the definition of the project schedule interfaces with the partners and the Customer,
  • Deliver on time all schedule deliverables down to the requested level
  • Estimate the cost of Scheduling management effort

 

In contract execution:

  • Define and maintain the Project Time Management Plan based on inputs from all stakeholders and keep it updated
  • Animate and coordinate the project scheduling community
  • Build the project schedule based on internal standard WBS, contractual targets and data provided by all stakeholders
  • Contribute with the Finance Project Manager to Earned Value Management
  • Propose the project baseline, and ensure its acceptance (internally and by the Customer)
  • Ensure the consistency of all the internal and external Stakeholders commitments, and manages the schedules interfaces
  • Perform schedule analysis & trade-offs to close identified gaps or schedule issues
  • Organize and lead periodic project schedule sessions
  • Provide a timely updated schedule situation highlighting the gap between the actual and the baseline
  • Focus on early identification of potential delays (critical paths) including the status on risks and margin related to schedule
  • Prepare schedule and progress reports for Customer or Lead Unit or Partners
  • Provide support to Project Core Team on all issues related to projects schedule

  • Experience in a project planning / scheduling role, including resource planning.
  • Experienced of Primavera P6 Planning Software and/or other scheduling tools (MS Project)
  • Project management and industrial background
  • Agility to juggle with schedules simulations, various scenarios, and changing project goals
  • Rigorous, structured and sense of anticipation
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, excellent team worker
  • Conflict management and multi-tasking
  • Collaborative management
  • Be able to challenge project team and highly proactive in proposing solutions
  • Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English (proficiency level).
  • Basic overall knowledge of railway signalling business would be a plus.
