Could you be the full-time Assurance Safety Engineer (Product or Program) in Katowice we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field.

You'll be responsible for safety processes along the lifecycle of our products and subsystems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business and certified specialists across technical domains – your tasks will be based on their insight. You’ll undertake product or program safety assessments, validation activities and much more.

 

You’ll specifically perform the activities (under the governance/guidance of the PSAM (Project/Program Safety Assurance Manager)) related to:

 

  • software safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products).
  • hardware  safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products).
  • System safety assurance in in the Projects and Programs (systems, system applications).
  • ERTMS/ETCS System safety assurance in in the Projects and Programs (Products, System, System application)

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Deliver/perform Safety analysis under the guidance of the PSAM) with the strict application of process as per Signaling Safety Instruction related with SW, HW, Systems, railway functions, ERTMS/ETCS functions  
  • Participate to the elaboration of the Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the PSAM  
  • Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product Attend periodic Safety Reviews
  • Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External)

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree: Railway engineering or hardware engineering or software engineering or mathematics
  • Beginner in safety but depending of the domain specific experience on System, data preparation, Hardware or Software domain is required System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge, Hardware and/or Software knowledge, Railway knowledge, ERTMS/ETCS knowledge will be an asset
  • Or experienced in railway safety or other system/products safety domains
  • Basic knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc ) and successful experience in safety assurance will be an asset
  • Fluent English both reading and writing (technical documentation)
  • Structured and organized
  • Fast learner
