Could you be the full-time Life Cycle Manager in Katowice we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your planning expertise in a new cutting-edge field.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with Sourcing and Supply Chain, develop obsolescence management capability in Suppliers through    use of Supplier Charter Audits and Obsolescence Management Plans.  You’ll request & validate product structures and Bills of Material for obsolescence monitoring from Product Units (Design Authority), Suppliers and other sources, and load in internal obsolescence system.

 

You’ll specifically take care of sharing experience & knowledge of obsolescence management with others.

 

We’ll look to you for:


•    Facilitate and support the development of obsolescence management plan with Product Platforms, Projects 
•    Agree obsolescence monitoring strategies for products and projects
•    Review and validate obsolescence management plans
•    Review incoming obsolescence alerts from external sources, identify necessary actions
•    Prepare periodic project/program obsolescence reports including Performance Indicators
•    Facilitate development of obsolescence solutions
•    Facilitate supplier obsolescence review meetings
•    Develop internal specific obsolescence tools and systems and use of SharePoint
•    Ensure future Alstom development takes account of obsolescence management needs
•    Participate Obsolescence Management CCN (Core Competence Network)

  • Degree in engineering
  • Knowledge of electronic system design and industrialization, preferably in rail or similar  
  • 3 years’ experience in technical role in rail or similar industry 
  • Information Systems including ERP and Product Data Management
  • Good knowledge of Industrial and Supply chain processes
  • Technology watch & obsolescence management
  • Experience of hardware design
  •  English language
  • Design & industrialization of electronic equipment - Electronics and electric science related to design of electronic/electrical sub-assembly
  • IT: MS-Office (Excel, Outlook, Power point, Word) essential;
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – working with local team and with a remote network 
  • Continuous improvement – ability to innovate continuously and effectively
  • Organization and planning – good time management and delivery
  • Communication skills – international and with internal and external correspondents
