Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in Interlocking (IXL) system design in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe movement of trains by designing and delivering high-quality signaling solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., Project IXL Design Leaders, V&V teams, Testing & Commissioning teams), actively participate in detailed design reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of methods and tools.
You’ll specifically take care of delivering design outputs such as scheme plan layouts, control tables, and signaling logic application data, but also support debugging design issues and managing change requests.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Delivering design scheme plan layouts, control tables, signaling logic application data, signaling equipment room layouts, and diagnostic application data
-
Ensuring adherence to reference application design methods and tools, while requesting deviations when appropriate
-
Participating actively in detailed design review meetings and providing activity progress reports
-
Organizing and producing documentation and software design deliveries according to project templates and needs
-
Supporting the Project IXL Design Leader and Project V&V Manager in debugging design issues
-
Analyzing and managing change requests and contributing to the definition of software packages for V&V, installation, and Testing & Commissioning teams
-
Ensuring independence of the design activity from the verification activity
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (preferably in Transport or equivalent)
-
Experience in IXL and/or TMS and/or ERTMS application design or in relevant positions (systems/sub-system application design) in a highly complex and normative environment (e.g., railway signaling, aerospace, defense)
-
Understanding of railway traffic control systems
-

-
A proactive and resourceful approach
