Join us as a Site Supply Chain Director (m/f/d) in Kassel, Germany

Main responsibilities
•    You are responsible for the management (technical/disciplinary) and development of the supply chain teams (such as material management, production planning, intralogistics and ERP key user) and ensure the improvement of the processes - in addition to know-how transfer/build-up.
•    You are responsible for the achievement of the department's schedule, budget and sales results including planning, implementation and control of supply management and project supervision
•    You check and evaluate offers and contracts
•    You plan, develop and organize relevant performance indicators to monitor supply chain and material availabilities
•    You review and improve supply chain processes (quality, cost, lead times and compliance)
•    You ensure compliance with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
•    You consider and optimize supplier development and crisis management in terms of delivery capability, ensuring sufficient supplier capacity, or early countermeasures in case of supplier capacity shortages
•    Ensure compliance with and improvement of processes relevant to occupational safety and internal Group processes
•    Cross-site cooperation within the region

Requirements / Skills / Qualification
•    Relevant, successfully completed studies as well as relevant professional experience in the field of management / supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing company
•    Distinct process and methodical thinking, structured as well as solution- and result-oriented way of thinking and working, reliability and accuracy
•    Very good project management skills and a good understanding of change management processes in corporate structures
•    Knowledge of LEAN Production/Management, value stream design, material flow analysis would be an advantage
•    Very good written and spoken English, French desirable
•    Very good IT skills (especially MS Office, SAP R/3)
•    Identification with Alstom values as well as entrepreneurial thinking & acting, high communication skil
