Could you be the full-time Design For Operation Manager in Kassel, Germany we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Thomas Rendler, Site MD, Kassel, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

You'll will ensure structured integration between product engineering (at both train and Subsystem-level) and manufacturing engineering to deliver a consistent product and process development. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business including Site Managing Director, project manufacturing engineers, industrial metiers, engineering department.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Define and ensure the implementation of applicable industrial requirements and standards
  • Contributing to the definition and implementation of industrial project objectives (e.g. method time)
  • Contribute to the detailed implementation of the project's make-or-buy strategy (e.g. primary parts)
  • Organise and coordinate co-engineering activities (e.g. Bill of Materials, analysis and optimisation of zones/assemblies) 
  • Support and participate in assembly reviews and related product and process developments

  • Engineering or Master's degree level education, preferably in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical or supply chain disciplines
  • Several years of industrial operations experience, including project level experience
  • English and German fluent (level min. B2)
  • Extensive knowledge of concurrent engineering approaches + strong technical background encompassing both manufacturing and product development/management
  • Strong leadership skills; results-oriented thinking
  • Ability to foster communication between different stakeholders (product development, manufacturing engineering, industrial functions)
  • Negotiation skills, problem solving ability and efficient decision making in a complex environment
  • Ability to work across sites and functions in a multicultural environment
  • Team spirit and good communication skills
