Could you be the full-time Depot Facility Manager in Kassel we’re looking for? 

 

Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance depot expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Marc Oliver SMIT, Head of Operations Locomotive Maintenance in Kassel, and work alongside expert, dedicated, and supportive teammates.


You'll ensure the standardization of all our partner depots. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g. EHS, Logistics), managing the service contracts related to infrastructure and security which include the management and control of all plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure at the Maintenance / Renovation site(s). You will represent the Service Site Manager as advisor for all issues relating to environmental control, take lead role in working towards required ISO accreditation and much more.


You’ll specifically ensure correct management of security and associated contracts in place at the Service site(s), but also ensure that critical plant availability and performance is monitored to enable the Services Site(s) to deliver customer requirements continuously, and that corrective action is taken when performance fails to meet targets.
We’ll look to you for: 

  • Managing the interface with the Service site's infrastructure principal service providers(s)
  • Controlling the plant contracts at the corresponding Service site(s)
  • Ensuring that documented Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures are adhered to, and that all relevant departmental procedures are maintained and updated as required
  • Managing the allocated budget related to facility management
  • Ensuring Safety and Environmental Audits/Inspections are in place; establishing trends making recommendations to the Service Site Management for remedial action

  • Degree (or recognized equivalent) in relevant engineering field
  • Technical experience and expertise in mechanical and electrical infrastructure maintenance techniques and principals
  • Strong EHS knowledge, local legislation and environmental standards
  • Fluent in English, German B1 level
  • Leadership experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent IT user e.g. MS office, e-mail, and intranet
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the working time
