Could you be the  Supplier Product Quality Development/Serial Life Engineer in Boksburg we’re looking for? This role is temporary for 4 months ( maternity stand-in).


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance and supplier management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our supplier products, driving continuous improvement and fostering strong supplier relationships. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across procurement, industrial organization, and supply chain, coordinate non-conformity report (NCR) management, and implement quality gates and mechanisms at supplier premises, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of supplier performance reviews and First Article Inspections (FAI), but also manage containment actions and lead problem-solving initiatives with suppliers.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing non-conformity reports (NCRs) and ensuring timely actions to address defects
  • Leading supplier performance reviews and improvement roadmaps
  • Implementing quality mechanisms such as Q-Walls and batch inspections
  • Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) and monitoring performance
  • Handling waiver management and supplier audits
  • Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement

  • Degree in Quality or Engineering
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, IRIS, local standards)
  • Experience in quality assurance within a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment
  • Hands-on supplier quality experience, including manufacturing processes and engineering principles
  • Fluency in English
  • Lead external auditor certification (desirable)
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification (desirable)
  • Experience managing supplier relationships or using SAP (desirable)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively
