Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Officer in Jeddah, SA we’re looking for?


Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your health and safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and proactive teammates. You'll ensure a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors during construction sites and projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, Project Management, and Supply Chain), minimize impacts on the environment, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Implementing and maintaining EHS policies and procedures,

  • Inspecting equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions,

  • Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims,

  • Recommending solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures,

  • Reporting on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics,

  • Training and carrying out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations,

  • Conducting environmental audits and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation,

  • Conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures,

  • Protecting Alstom assets and reducing risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes,

  • Engaging with staff on a continuous basis to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility"

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field,

  • Experience or understanding of EHS regulations and compliance,

  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management practices,

  • Familiarity with environmental and safety management systems,

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

  • Ability to analyze data and create reports,

  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively,

  • Proactive problem-solving approach,

  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in EHS practices,

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
