Could you be the full-time onsite IT-Security & Communication Engineer in Jamaica, NY, US we’re looking for?

 

Annual Salary:

$115,000 - $120,000


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive cybersecurity and communication expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a critical role in maintaining a secure and safe transportation system by overseeing and managing the installation of digital Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), as well as the audio (public announcement/PA) and visual systems (public information/PI). Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including IT, Operations, and Safety departments), ensure the integrity and resilience of security systems, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing the installation of CCTV, PA, and PI systems,

  • Ensuring the reliability and security of all communication systems,

  • Conducting regular system audits for performance and security enhancements,

  • Leading the design and implementation of security system architecture,

  • Developing and enforcing best practices for IT security and communications


All about you

  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field,

  • Expert level of knowledge in UNIX,DOS, Windows Operating Systems, Computer Networking, Programming skills, digital recording and transmitting systems.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language at a high level of proficiency while using the phone, in email communications and in-person.
  • Required to have a valid license in accordance with New York State Motor Vehicle Laws.
  • Ability to work onsite at JFK Airport from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday with after hours work required at least once or twice a month. Able to work a 12-hour day during emergencies related to weather or other unplanned emergencies.
