Could you be the full-time Fire Systems Specialist in Jamaica, New York we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and problem-solving expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and resourceful team of professionals.
You'll ensure the safety and reliability of fire systems while contributing to the seamless operation of our transportation infrastructure. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance, safety, and client relations teams), oversee fire system maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of developing and implementing inspection schedules for fire systems, but also ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting for maintenance activities.
We’ll look to you for:

Planning and implementing weekly, monthly, and annual inspection schedules for fire systems

Monitoring and assisting contractors in maintaining and repairing fire systems and associated equipment

Ensuring compliance with maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements

Collaborating with peers, subordinates, and clients to achieve organizational goals

Handling emergencies and failures in accordance with established procedures
-
Maintaining the integrity of fire system records and ensuring accuracy in reporting

Adhering to and promoting safety policies and organizational safety rules

High school diploma or equivalent (Building Trades program completion preferred)

Three years of experience in maintenance and repair of fire systems

Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints

Proficiency in Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office

Experience with maintenance record-keeping systems like MAXIMO
-
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage tight deadlines
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Valid driver’s license in accordance with New York State Motor Vehicle Laws

Salary: $68,500 - $75,000/annually
