  • Support the Project Team, to ensure the project Safety, Quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities throughout the project (SQCD) and be the preferable interface in the Project Team for all the métiers Quality needed for the Project (EQ, IQ, SQ)


  • Ensure that all the REX of all the métiers have been considered in the Risks & Opportunities and closely monitor to prevent occurrence
  • Ensure and improve the tender quality during tender phase upon request

Customer Quality

  • Be the interface with the Customer quality and safety teams[SD1] 
  • Perform the role of Contractor’s Quality Manager [1] See notes below

Project Quality

  • Establish the Project Quality plan and ensure the proper application during contract execution in accordance to the contract requirements, and to the Alstom processes
  • Support the project teams and PM to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans

Project execution controls

  • Support the project teams mainly the PM to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans
  • Report quality and safety alerts
  • Ensure quality of the modifications made during the project
  • Ensure that safety assessment is correctly implemented (i.e.: safety review) and prepare safety authorization.
  • Control project deliverables compliance through inspection and audits - to authorize presentation / delivery to customer
  • Ensure REX process within the project

Measure and improve project quality performance:

  • Manage Non-conformities and Safety issues and facilitate problem solving during project execution phase to reduce the costs of non-quality (8D, REX and standards evolution)
  • Improve the efficiency of quality teams to reduce the function costs
  • Make sure that Engineering team is included in Customer issues solving process (if needed).
  • Depending on local organisation, PrQSM could also oversee Industrial quality, QMS and SQA activities.


     Performance measurements:


  • “On Time” Gate Reviews and shared with PMO “DFQ Look Ahead”
  • Number of remaining Safety or Customer Issues to fix after target time agreed
  • Cost of Non-Quality and speed to solve non-conformities
  • General Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
  • Safety must always be a prime consideration of every person and you are required to ensure that product safety, the safety of people and the environment is never compromised.


    To ensure compliance with the general elements of the Alstom safety responsibility statements you shall:


  • Familiarise yourself with relevant company / site safety and environmental procedures and ensure their requirements are implemented in the workplace
  • Comply with any control measures that are implemented as a result of any risk assessment or impact assessment.
  • Participate as required in the risk assessment process.
  • Promptly report to your supervisor / manager all accidents, incidents, product safety issues and work related ill health or near misses / close calls that you witness or are involved with.
  • Ensure that you are fully aware of the fire precautions and evacuation procedures for any building you are working in or visiting.
  • Ensure that all personal protective equipment issued is correctly worn and maintained.
  • Assist in safety or environmental investigations and close out any actions / recommendations assigned to you.
  • Carry out any product safety work to the defined standards and to the defined methods, advising your Supervisor / Manager if the work allocated is beyond your competence.
  • Report any non-conformance against specification / process requirements.
  • Ensure that all specified work records are adequately completed and maintained.
  • Ensure that all spillages are dealt with in accordance with the local spill control arrangements.
  • Use substances only in accordance with the manufacturers’ safety data sheets.
  • Dispose of all waste in the appropriate manner in accordance with site waste management arrangements.



  • Graduated from Engineering departments.  (Preferable Electrical, Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Engineerings)



  • Good keyboard skills required together with excellent English and procedure writing ability
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, databases and administration skills
  • Knowledge of Rail Industry practices or other safety critical industry (e.g. aerospace, automotive, oil and gas)
  • Communication, knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM,.) and quality tools
  • Collaboration and team working
