Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and financial expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative team.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring Alstom delivers winning proposals and robust costing strategies for tenders, ultimately supporting the company’s mission to shape a sustainable future of transportation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (Tender Leaders, Sub-System Bid Managers, Finance, Legal, and Marketing & Pricing), manage costing and pricing activities, and ensure compliance with Alstom’s standards and processes.

We’ll look to you for:
-
Preparing quick costing during the pre-tendering phase based on product cost databases and project execution insights
-
Defining cost structures and target costs per activity or sub-system, in coordination with Bid sub-system managers
-
Leading cost estimation activities and driving cost improvement initiatives to enhance competitiveness
-
Collaborating with Finance Tender Managers to optimize financial costs and improve overall bid competitiveness
-
Ensuring the robustness of costing and preparing costing packages for Tender Review Meetings (TRM)
-
Collaborating with the Tender Leader and full tender team to determine tender complexity and build preparation schedules.
-
Issuing Instructions for Quotations (IFQ) and supporting the Tender Leader in defining bid commercial strategies.
-
Managing the tender budget in line with the Tender Costs Authorization Process.
-
Defining bid operational strategies by analyzing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and aligning with commercial strategies.
-
Overseeing requirements analysis and ensuring offered solution compliance with customer requirements.
-
Optimizing QCD commitments and managing interfaces between actors to meet cost targets and contractual obligations.
-
Preparing risk and opportunity reviews, including mitigation plans and maintaining risk registers.
-
Preparing all necessary documentation for customer submissions, including technical descriptions, compliance matrices, and administrative documents.
-
Maintaining traceability of all tender documentation and participating in contract negotiations.
- Ensuring a smooth transfer from bid to project, supporting the Project Manager during the initial project phases.
- Managing tender processes for low or no critical bids, including compliance, team coordination, and risk management.
