Your future role

We have a newly created opportunity available for an Overhaul Project Manager to join our team responsible for the maintenance of the NGR fleet. Based at our facility in Wulkuraka, this is a key leadership where you will be responsible for driving the delivery of the Overhaul Strategy for a diverse range of systems on the train fleet.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading a cross-functional team to ensure the overhaul programs are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Working closely with the planning team to manage the overhaul schedule, plan and ensure the actual status is regularly updated.
  • Forecasting labour requirements for scheduled works in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Collaborating with supply chain to make sure the required parts and components are ready for scheduled overhauls.
  • Leveraging the expertise of the Quality team to ensure that the overhaul works are completed to the highest standard.
  • Leading the overhaul core-meeting and providing regular reports on progress updates of the program delivery.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage your time effectively, be ‘delivery focused’ and drive project outcomes.
  • The demonstrated ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • A background in planning and execution/delivery, within projects/operations.
  • Experience in delivering Overhaul programs, ideally within Rail/Rollingstock or a similar heavy industry.
  • A technical background (Engineering or Trade) is preferred, but not essential.
