Could you be the full-time Electrical Harness Design Engineer in Hyderabad we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical harness design expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll contribute to the development of innovative railway products by ensuring the quality and precision of electrical harness designs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams across the business (Advanced Industrialization, PME, Quality, Sourcing, and Shop Floor), liaise with external stakeholders such as suppliers and customers, and ensure compliance with Alstom’s quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments.

You’ll specifically take care of 3D modeling, design annotations, and 2D deliverables, but also ensure the accuracy and consistency of digital mock-ups.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing 3D, design annotations, and 2D deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments, métier rules, and processes

  • Modeling and storing allocated volumes and interfaces for sub-systems/components in Digital Mock-Up

  • Preparing and documenting Domain Design Reviews

  • Ensuring the application of electrical and schematic métier rules

  • Collaborating with mechanical designers, manufacturing engineering, and other stakeholders for harness routing

  • Managing deliverables to meet project timelines and quality standards

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • 4 years of experience in electrical harness design for railway products

  • Experience or understanding of detailed electrical harness design deliverables (e.g., BoM kit, formboards, wiring lists, plug maps)

  • Knowledge of allocated volumes/interfaces and configuration management

  • Familiarity with tools like DMA, GSI, TED, and SEE ONE

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including with third parties (e.g., customers, suppliers)

  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and technical discussions)

  • Organizational skills and a hands-on approach
