Could you be the full-time Documentation Engineer in Hyderabad we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical writing and documentation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll ensure the development and delivery of high-quality maintenance documentation aligned with ISR (In-Service Reliability) requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Project Managers, Documentation Leads, and ISR Managers), coordinate with subcontractors and equipment suppliers, and communicate effectively with customers on project planning and deliverables.
You’ll specifically take care of creating and managing maintenance documentation plans and ensuring adherence to Alstom’s standards, but also contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools.
We’ll look to you for:

Defining and implementing the maintenance documentation plan in alignment with ISR management objectives.

Producing high-quality maintenance documentation, including technical manuals and parts catalogues, in both German and English.

Managing the documentation team and ensuring deliverables meet QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.

Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s standard methods and tools for documentation, including electronic catalogues.

Collecting and capitalizing on REX (Return of Experience) data to enhance future projects.

Maintaining and updating the documentation database (ILS PDM) accurately and consistently.

Engineering university degree or equivalent.

C1-level certification or diploma in German language.

Experience in technical writing and translation (3–5 years), particularly for maintenance manuals and parts catalogues.

Knowledge of ISR elements such as RAMS, LORA, RCM, and LCC.

Strong skills in HTML/XML for documentation purposes.

Fluency in English and German languages.

Attention to detail, decision-making skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Experience in the rail or transportation domain is a plus.
