Lead and manage the day to day maintenance and/or operational activities at the site.  Directly supervises the activities of assigned technicians in an around the clock operation.




  • Manage and direct activities of technicians and/or to ensure maintenance procedures are completed safely, timely, and effectively while meeting customer expectations of service levels and availability within the guidelines of the Bombardier Code of Ethics.
  • Make timely and responsible decisions regarding operational and personnel matters including allocation of resources, customer service issues, performance appraisals, employee development, and corrective actions. 
  • Coordinate the planning, development and implementation of recovery, repair and preventive maintenance procedures to maintain system operation.  Revise or direct revision of above procedures when needed.
  • Directly support the development and implementation of safety policies, practices, and operational initiatives that comply with all procedures, laws and regulations for automatic and manual train movements, and ensure compliance with same by all employees and visitors to the site.
  • Train, coach, and mentor all direct reports, providing feedback and counsel as needed.
  • Cooperate and support internal and external audits, keep all documentation orderly to support management during audits.
  • Available for on-call/ shift changes as needed




Mandatory qualifications


  • Working knowledge of maintenance management processes or systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and coordinate complex technical issues that required the use of project management techniques and statistics.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex technical problems and the ability to negotiate human relations issues involving direct reports and other employees and vendors.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Office 365
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and demands, while providing consistent and accurate feedback to direct report


Additional Qualifications


  • Prior experience in a leadership role.
  • Pass SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) Badge requirements.
  • Strong communication skills
