Co-Op (Co-Operative Education) / Internship Validation Engineer - Train Validation Team

Ensure student success through supervised career-related experiences that enhance professional development and enable application of classroom learning.

 

Goals

He/She promote quality education by furnishing the most comprehensive professional preparation available to students in the colleges. It serves through planned, progressive and supervised work experiences. Provide on-going professional development for department faculty to improve quality instruction for Co-op and internship courses. Build unique employer, community and regional partnerships whereby students work in business, industry, education, and government, enhancing their intellectual and professional development while meeting the workforce needs. Provide employer and student statistical analysis data to university administrators, faculty and staff in support of university strategic goals.

Co-Op Validation Engineer Activities:

  • Executing Validation activities given by the Manager
  • Updating the Validation Plan
  • Writing Train System test procedures for some of the train domains as allocated by the manager
  • Ensuring the timely issuing of the Validation mean of proof (including lower level systems and components) and consolidates Validation files
  • Providing structured REX to feed costing activities, and to enrich the CV metier technical repository
  • Preparing the tests he/she is responsible for:
    • Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests
    • Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test
    • Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and pre requisite testing allows the testing to proceed
    • Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOutTagOut instruction
    • Supervising and/or executing test activities, analyzing test results “live” and deciding if test has to be redone or not
    • Test results data analysis, writing static and dynamic test reports

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree/Master Degree students of Engineering (Minimum at 3rd year)
  • Mechanical/Electro Mechanical or relevant Engineering subjects knowledge 
  • English Fluent
