Location: Hornell (NY, USA) 

Duration of the VIE: 18 months

 

As a VIE - HR Generalist at Alstom, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support of the local HR team in the integration process / know-how transfer
  • Creation and implementation of HR guidelines and ALSTOM group standards
  • Ensure that all policy and rules are followed according to the Delegation of Authority
  • Advice, support and influence management on all HR related issues, policies and processes
  • Deploy ALPS and assure sustainability of accuracy of data, and develop and use metrics to measure HR performances, including introducing tools at appropriate time with support from P&T
  • Support for the introduction of new HR tools
  • Deliver day to day operational support (People process, data accuracy, EHS policy)
  • Define and implement training / learning programs, and measure their efficiency
  • Support in the process of onboarding new employees
  • Facilitate the budget process for his/her scope and is accountable for his/her budget

 

Educational Requirements

  • University degree, majoring in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science or economy

 

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years HR experience in a similar industry/environment or at least 1 year within ALSTOM
  • Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR management practice
  • Influence and resilience within a matrix organization structure
  • Professional expertise in employment law issues, redundancies, payroll and employee relations
  • Fluent in the English language, written and spoke

 

Desirable:

  • Experiences in connection with the implementation of HR systems
  • Experience of HR operational aspects (Talent availability, Salary & Benefit, Legal/Compliance, Income Tax, Social Context)
