Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your robust technical and quality engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, resourceful, and collaborative teammates.

You'll lead the charge in operational problem-solving for quality issues related to externally purchased parts, making a significant impact on project reliability and cost management. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Project Managers, Quality Safety Managers, and Engineering), manage supplier performance during the warranty period, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of interfacing with suppliers to address quality issues and leading the resolution of warranty-related challenges, but also ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared across projects.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Serving as the interface between Alstom teams and external suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues during revenue services.

  • Leading progress and monitoring the completion of containment, corrective actions, and solution implementation.

  • Ensuring the Supplier Quality Portal is used effectively for warranty issues, including proper notifications to suppliers.

  • Supporting projects to achieve K1 (safety-related quality issues), K2 (quality issues with high impact on customer operations), and K3 (reliability-impacting issues) problem-solving targets.

  • Managing supplier performance during the warranty period with a dynamic escalation process (Yellow, Red in & out).

  • Supporting procurement and contract managers to consolidate Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) for claim recovery and back-charge processes.

  • Reporting and escalating critical situations to the Supplier Quality Warranty Manager to ensure resolution.

  • Validating root causes and ensuring solutions address identified issues effectively.

  • Managing Return of Experience (REX) from warranty topics and sharing insights across projects.

  • Supporting reliability growth activities during the warranty period.

  • Traveling to suppliers and depots as needed to monitor and follow up on action plans.

  • Ensuring a seamless handover with the Supplier Quality serial team before the start of the warranty period.
