Could you be the full-time onsite Supplier Quality Project Engineer in Hornell, NY, US we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your meticulous and analytical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll contribute significantly to the assurance of supplier quality within the scope of our pivotal projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Management, Procurement, Engineering), drive the standardization and optimization of the Supplier Part List (SPL), and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Consolidating Supplier Quality needs for product development in new projects and ensuring visibility for SPQD shared services,

  • Monitoring Supplier Quality activities progress and reporting overall SQ vision of ongoing developments to the project core team,

  • Driving the deployment/application of Quality action plans agreed upon during the Business Award phase,

  • Contributing to the customer interface on issues such as FAI planning and open issues follow-up under the leadership of Project Quality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent,

  • 2 years of experience within manufacturing industry (or in Quality or Project role),

  • Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.),

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system,

  • Problem-solving skills and root cause analysis,

  • Familiarity with quality tools (PFMEA, control plan, QRQC, 8D, Quality Wall, etc.),

  • Experience managing supplier relationships,

  • Quality inspection experience within the manufacturing industry,

  • Ability to manage a Team remotely and to work in a Regional Organization,

  • Experience with typical products used and their defect modes.

Salary range: $81,500 - $98,000
