At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide.
High‑tech manufacturing environments require highly reliable automation and electrical systems. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing robotic, automated, and electrical systems to ensure maximum equipment availability, safety, and production efficiency. The position combines robotics, PLC control, and industrial electrical maintenance expertise, working across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive, Predictive & Corrective Maintenance
Perform scheduled inspections, calibrations, sensor checks, lubrication, and system performance monitoring to prevent failures. Repair or replace defective components such as wiring, circuits, sensors, motors, actuators, and robotic elements to maintain safe and reliable operation.
Advanced Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using diagnostic tools, computers, and software. Independently isolate root causes of failures, often under time‑critical production conditions.
Automation, Robotics & Control Systems
Install, configure, test, and maintain robotic equipment, PLC‑controlled systems, conveyors, end‑of‑arm tooling, motors, and actuators. Read, write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic, interpret HMI systems, and adjust automation parameters to meet operational requirements.
System Installation & Upgrades
Support commissioning of new machinery, automation systems, and condition‑monitoring sensors. Verify proper operation through testing and validation, ensuring integration with existing control systems.
Electrical Systems Maintenance
Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems including power distribution, wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and control panels, ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
Documentation & Compliance
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation. Maintain accurate service records, test results, and repair logs using manual systems or CMMS, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry safety requirements.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to support automation performance. Clearly communicate issues, escalate risks when necessary, and mentor less experienced technicians.
