Could you be the full-time hybrid Project Financial Controller in Hornell, NY, US we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and driven teammates.
You'll play a key role in driving financial performance, ensuring strategic decision-making, and optimizing project outcomes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including the project director, procurement lead, supply chain manager, engineering representative, and quality manager), provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes, and contribute to financial forecasting and reporting—and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Being the primary financial leader and business partner to the project director,

  • Monitoring and communicating project performance to key stakeholders,

  • Tracking and analyzing financial metrics, including revenue, profitability, and cash flow,

  • Providing monthly financial performance reviews to regional management,

  • Generating accurate forecasts on revenue trends, cash projections, and short-term budgets,

  • Participating in project decision-making processes by providing financial guidance and analysis,

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, engineering, and quality management,

  • Ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal governance rules,

  • Supporting claim management and advising on financial aspects of contract terms and conditions,

  • Managing and analyzing costs, revenue, and profitability while optimizing financial performance.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field,

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling, project finance management, and business performance analysis,

  • Knowledge of financial metrics, forecasting, and reporting (e.g., revenue, profitability, cash flow),

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling tools,

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills,

  • Excellent communication abilities to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders,

  • Integrity and resilience in managing complex financial scenarios,

  • Coordination and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams,

  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset to identify and implement financial improvements,

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and adapt to new technologies.

In accordance with New York State law, the anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, and qualifications. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation.
