Project Change & Configuration Manager


Duties: She/He will ensure application of physical configuration of trains and change general procedures and instructions; issue configuration and change management plan in order to implement the configuration and change management process in the project; plan and organize the Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings; collect the Change Requests (CR); verify that the changes are well documented; send the change request to analysis and Change Proposal preparation; collect the Change Proposals and send it in advance to the participants of the Configuration Control Board to check the impacts; collect Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) impacts; establish the Configuration Control Board reports; liaise with engineering, industrial, sourcing, supply chain, Services organization, Commissioning &Warranty, and Validation on configuration/changes; organize and manage the project/product’s evolution through changes activities; respond to project/product priorities or urgencies; ensure rigorous traceability and reporting; record the projected rank/date of change application (serial application, retrofit); organize and update configuration and change database for the project/product; issue and follow up the action plan; issue and follow up the change application, assigning the Change Notices; and perform project/product baseline management and integration.



Employer will accept Bachelor's degree or equivalent* in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Project Management or related field, and three years of experience in job offered or three years of work experience in a related occupation. *In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation. Experience must include one year of experience with each of the following:

1.           Computer Aided Design (CATIA V5);

2.           Experience with Rolling Stock dealing with modern electrically powered train;

3.           Experience liaising with production engineering, testing, supply chain, and sourcing for projects in the railway industry;

4.           Experience working concurrently on multiple projects;

5.           Defining Configuration Control Board;

6.           Experience reviewing change requests;

7.           Experience analyzing whether changes requested can be implemented on time and within budget;

8.           Reporting on Key Performance Indicators;

9.           Change management;

10.        Process management;

11.        Project Management;

12.        SAP; and

13.        ENOVIA VPM V4 and ENOVIA V6 PLM.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
