Material Control Specialist



  • She/He will develop, monitor and maintain material delivery to production line to meet production schedules
  • Support deliveries of capital spares and warranty needed material
  • Expedite material shortages for production line
  • Release kits for Pull and delivery as required
  • Create matrixes/metrics, schedules of incoming material
  • Maintain logistics deliverables - i.e. routing/footprint/movement
  • Assist production, Industrial Engineering, warehouse for material kits, hardware kits, and footprints
  • Monitor potential shortages in advance of requirement as to allow timely action
  • Monitor consumable and consignment material
  • Maintain finite metrics on materials discrepant to requirements
  • Movement of non-conforming material from receiving, production line and communicating with Purchasing, Quality Control (QC) and supervision on disposition of material
  • Offsite support for Rolling Stock, United States of America (RS-USA) operations
  • Support weekend/off shift as required
  • Expedite hot material from receiving, Quality to Production line
  • Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager.  Any interpretation/clarification with responsibilities above will be settled by the supervisor/manager.  This list of responsibilities is not all inclusive and may change, be added to or deleted from at any time




Associates Degree is required    

Experience managing material and supply chain is required, minimum of 2 years
