Manufacturing Cost Controller

 

  • She/He will provide analytical and decision support for Manufacturing management team and other personnel at the plant
  • Works closely with manufacturing operations to ensure production costs are accurately and timely recorded. Perform thorough variance analysis on cost deviations (Production material and labor). Report findings to management team and recommend solutions to mitigate risks and improve performance.
  • Support site Finance Controller with data analytics on plant’s performance at the project level.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Manufacturing financials with commentaries including estimates to complete (EAC) and cost evolution
  • Develop standard costs and Bill of Materials in collaboration with Industrialization, Sourcing, supply chain, etc. Develops, monitors and analysis manufacturing overhead allocation and burden rates to ensure appropriateness
  • Lead, participate and present project & plant financials.
  • Work with the site Finance team during moth-end closing, monthly forecasting and the annual budget process
  • Assist site Project Controllers with tools, reports, etc. and enable to perform a thorough work package review with WP owners
  • Review and analyze inventory in detail tail to ensure work orders are closed in a timely manner and inventory is costed out to jobs properly
  • Ensure proper application of internal control protocols in compliance with site, group and other regulatory bodies
  • Participate in Manufacturing and Project Management team meetings, risk sessions, and all decision-making concerning manufacturing project financials and contractual aspects
  • Develop, streamline and implement work instructions, procedures.

 

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or relevant field
  • Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills
  • 5-10 years of experience in accounting
  • English Fluent
  • Strong ERP experience, SAP/GIS experience will be a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, be flexible and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to establish completion timelines and meet deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to take responsibility for results and to recommend solutions to challenges
  • Ability to think creatively and be resourceful within the context of financial and strategic planning
