The missions of the logistics engineer :

  • Determine the line feeding strategy and coordinate with all stakeholders
  • Design and implement complete internal logistics flow
  • Be the logistics interface for medium/long term plants development strategy
  • Follow all site changes to meet all the plant requirements
  • Collaborate with multiple functions throughout the manufacturing process to include, test, production, logistics, warehouse and project management to meet the quality cost and delivery requirements.
  • Communicate and establish relationships with suppliers, manufacturing and customer for cost effective solutions to satisfy the requirements for handling, lifting, packing and shipping.
  • Define packaging options
  • Develop cost effective packaging solutions
  • Provide packaging and transport solutions that meet the logistics plan required for execution.
  • Provide ergonomically designed solutions to meet the requirements of the end user of production.
  • Provide packaging design estimates; coordinate the logistics requirements and shipping plan to meet the needs of the project deliverables.
  • Support activities to drive cost out of packaging through design by understanding the product value stream and logistics requirements thru the life-cycle of the product.
  • Validate packaging designs to assure logistics needs are met and maintained through the project life cycle.



People/skills needed:

  • Who?
    • Industrial/Mechanical/Project management/Supply chain engineering graduated
    • Previous professional experience in manufacturing industry would be an advantage
    • The person would need to relocate in the area
  • Technical skills :
    • General technical knowledge and curiosity
    • Skilled in reading 2D/3D technical drawings and their standards
    • Skilled in Excel : comfortable with Pivot Tables and intermediate formulas
    • Previous SAP experience would be a plus
    • Have a strong analytical approach

    • Have a global understanding of the métiers interactions
