Logistics Engineering Team Leader



  • She/He will design Supply Chain processes vs Industrial requirements
  • Define warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy
  • Define line feeding strategy/layout and kitting.  Coordinate with all stakeholders.
  • Design and implement complete internal logistics flow, picking, kitting and line feeding.
  • Be the logistics interface for medium/long term plants development strategy.
  • Follow all site changes to meet all the plant requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions throughout the manufacturing process to include, test, production, logistics, warehouse and project management to meet the quality cost and delivery requirements.
  • Communicate and establish relationships with suppliers, manufacturing and customer for cost effective solutions to satisfy the requirements for handling, packing and shipping.
  • Define packaging options.
  • Develop cost effective packaging solutions.
  • Provide packaging and transport solutions that meet the logistics plan required for execution.
  • Provide ergonomically designed solutions to meet the requirements of the end user of production.
  • Provide packaging design estimates; coordinate the logistics requirements and shipping plan to meet the needs of the project deliverables.
  • Lead activities to drive cost out of packaging through design by understanding the product value stream and logistics requirements thru the life-cycle of the product.
  • Identify needs, define and deploy requirements for internal & external standards
  • Validate packaging designs to assure logistics needs are met and maintained through the project life cycle.
  • Take initiative to improve day to day activities thru REX and implementation of best practices within the department.
  • Lead/train/mentor members of the Logistics Engineering team.
  • Ensure operations are executed in an environment that complies with Alstom EHS policies.
