Responsibilities:

  • Define flow and packaging options
  • Develop cost effective packaging solutions
  • Provide packaging and transport solutions that meet the logistics plan required for execution.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions throughout the manufacturing process to include, test, production, logistics, warehouse and project management to meet the quality cost and delivery requirements
  • Communicate and establish relationships with suppliers, manufacturing and customer for cost effective solutions to satisfy the requirements for packing and shipping.
  • Provide ergonomically designed solutions to meet the requirements of the end user of production.
  • Provide packaging design estimates; coordinate the logistics requirements and shipping plan to meet the needs of the project deliverables
  • Support activities to drive cost out of packaging through design by understanding the product value stream and logistics requirements thru the life-cycle of the product
  • Validate packaging designs to assure logistics needs are met and maintained through the project life cycle

 

Education:                                   

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Engineering or applicable combination of education and experience
