Leadership Site Program / Trainee

 

Alstom is seeking recent Engineering and/or Business Graduates that are interested in a 24 months accelerated operations leadership program. The program is designed to have 4 rotations of 6 months each in different functions, 2 of the rotational functions will be mandatory and 2 chosen by the selected individual. At the completion of the program the desire would be that Alstom and the individual will align on an Alstom need and the individual’s desired function / position.

 

Leadership Program members have the opportunity to learn the entire supply chain, state of-the-art methods of manufacturing, sourcing, and to be exposed to environment, health, and safety technical and business aspects within a business through structured course work and practical application.
Coursework includes: Supply Chain Management, LEAN Manufacturing Operations, Environmental Health and Safety, Project Management, Negotiation Skills and Business Acumen (program to include coursework of sorts to be discussed/determined).
Alstom's focus on process integration, from design through manufacturing, has been critical to meeting our customers' expectations. This program is designed to successfully integrate manufacturing with other key processes in Alstom.
The experience gained during the rotational assignments positions Leadership Program members for accelerated career growth.
 

Mandatory

  • Manufacturing Shop Operations Supervisor (leading a manufacturing team in the production of products)
  • Project Management (manage commercial projects to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers)

 

Choose 2

  • Sourcing (managing suppliers to improve product quality and negotiate price)
  • Supply Chain (logistics engineering, planning, procurement)
  • Environment, Health & Safety (EHS support to site operations, oversight of Alstom operations for work at Customer sites, and supporting EHS in a region or concentrating in a particular EHS media).

Basic Qualifications
4 years of Engineering or related degree
GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Green Belt Certification (preferred, but required by end of program)
Prior intern or research experience in engineering or manufacturing (preferred)
