The Industrial Engineer is responsible for delivering in time, with the expected quality and within the allocated budget the following work packages:

  • Manufacturing Plan in accordance with the capacity analysis
  • Labor cost estimate per install
  • Tooling list, tooling budget and tooling schedule
  • Logistic requirements list
  • Make versus buy list
  • Set of indicators
  • Work Instructions (OMS)
  • Craft labor plan
  • MBOM/Manufacturing kits and variance report
  • Travelers
  • Works concurrently with the Design Engineering to ensure the manufacturability of the Project at the lowest cost
  • Interfaces with the Production Managers/Supervisors during the development phase to validate step by step the Manufacturing Process
  • Ensures an effective return of experience
  • Leads the FCCI and monitor the actions tracker
  • Provides efficient support to Program Team
  • Maintains the level of accuracy of the MBOM at 99%
  • Provides an efficient support to Production to improve the processes and the productivity
  • Provides clear description of the tooling needed for the Project to the designer
  • Ensures all steps of the Manufacturing process are compliant with the local, state and federal regulatory ordinances as well as Company Policies and procedures


Master Data Requirements:


  • Participate in Design release process
  • Review conformance to standards, review applicable Engineering Changes/Process Changes to assure proper implementation
  • Review Bill of materials for Completeness
  • Enter DTR3 part numbers into the SAP Repository  validating:  description, Unit of Measure, weight, UNSPSC Code, etc.
  • Investigate CLAMP Number Nomenclature as called out in BOMs, Request subscription to team
  • Create Bill of materials based on inputs provided.
  • Control Change Master documentation for integration into MBOM
  • Monitor Changes from SAP Repo to GSI PBOM
  • Maintain Accuracy of BOM  from referential EBOM and notify responsible of actions due to discrpancy
  • Interface with Multiple departments for Data accuracy
  • Act as Co-Trainer with Industrial Managers and Key Users for GSI actions.





Associates Degree (2 yr degree) in related field

Electrical/Mechanical Engineering experience/background preferred


Experience in:


-Design drafting/Cad

-CNC programming

-Tooling Design
